CVE-2002-0534: PostBoard can be overloaded and data corrupted
CVE-2002-0534 · published 24 years ago
Summary
Versions 2.0.1 and earlier of PostBoard that let users add BBcode let an attacker send a specially crafted [code] tag containing an invisible null character. That input can make the server work excessively hard and damage the database, causing slowdowns or loss of data. Upgrade PostBoard to a newer release or disable the BBcode/code feature until a fix is applied.
