CVE-2002-0393: Red-M 1050 access point may crash or be taken over

CVE-2002-0393 · published 24 years ago
Summary

The web management page of the Red-M 1050 Bluetooth access point can be overloaded with a very long administrator password, causing the device to stop working and potentially letting an attacker run their own code. This could interrupt your wireless service or expose your network. Apply the latest firmware update from the vendor and use strong, reasonably sized passwords while limiting access to the management interface.
