CVE-2001-0381: OpenPGP can expose private signing key

CVE-2001-0381 · published 25 years ago
Summary

The OpenPGP encryption standard can allow an attacker to discover a user’s private signing key by modifying the encrypted key file and then observing a single signed message. If this occurs, the attacker could forge documents or emails appearing to come from the legitimate user. Update to a version of OpenPGP that includes the fix or apply the recommended patch as soon as possible.
