CVE-2000-0688: Subscribe Me LITE lets remote attackers change admin password
CVE-2000-0688 · published 26 years ago
Summary
The Subscribe Me LITE web component does not verify who is requesting a password change, so an outsider can call its password‑reset script and set a new administrator password. This gives the attacker full control over the account management functions. Protect the system by applying the vendor's update or disabling the vulnerable script until a fix is installed.
What to do
The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
