CVE-2000-0506 · published 26 years ago

Versions of the Linux kernel earlier than 2.2.16 let a user on the same machine keep special rights and stop a program from dropping them. This can cause the program to stop working or give the user higher access than intended. Update the kernel to 2.2.16 or later, or apply the appropriate security patches, to eliminate the risk.
